IU holds quarterly MSME Mentorship Mentees Forum

Business mentees mentored by students from Intake 1 and Intake 2 of the MSME Business Mentorship Program held their second quarterly mentees forum on 9th March at the Hennessis Hotel.
The forum organized by Inoorero University through the Regional Center for Enterprise Development (RCED), is held to evaluate the impact of the Business Mentorship Program by assessing its successes and failures.
During the event, the Chief Guest, Ms Joanne Mwangi, CEO, Professional Marketing Services Group Africa and Chair, Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Association, encouraged the entrepreneurs to take the business mentorship program seriously arguing that it is invaluable to the growth of their businesses.“There is need to have a business mentor who can help you to develop important business skills, help in making important decisions and put you in touch with useful business contacts. Any entrepreneur looking to better themselves professionally and personally needs someone to give them the perspective of how others view them, to challenge them and to support them.” She said. She also persuaded the entrepreneurs not to give up when faced with challenges, arguing that nobody ever knows it all, but one is always ahead of where they were before they tried- regardless of whether they succeed or fail in business.
The forum, which was attended by over 50 participants from all over the country, also provides a highly effective business networking platform enabling the entrepreneurs to build and maintain long lasting relationships essential for business.
